Cílem této práce je představit základní typologii přístupů k vlastním jménům, jež se objevují v dílech fikce, kriticky tyto koncepce analyzovat se zvláštním důrazem na návrhy teoretiků patřících k příznivcům tzv. teorie fikčních světů a následně představit alternativní, deskriptivisticky založený model sémantiky vlastních jmen ve fikci inspirovaný konceptem role Pavla Tichého. Zatímco příznivci teorie fikčních světů pokládají fikční jména za přímo referující výrazy, tato práce ukazuje, jaké sémantické a metafyzické obtíže jsou s uvedenou pozicí spjaty. Pojetí fikčních vlastních jmen jakožto výrazů, jež denotují tzv. role neboli individuové úřady, umožňuje vysvětlit zdánlivě kontradiktorické intuice, jež jsou s fikčními jmény obvykle spojovány, a zároveň se vyhnout řadě sémantických a metafyzických problémů. | 520 | 2 | 9 | |a This Doctoral Dissertation deals with the semantics of proper names that appear in works of fiction. The aim of the dissertation is to give an overview of the most important problems related to fictional names, analyze Kripkean treatment of fictional names proposed by supporters of the fictional worlds theory and to present an alternative explanation of the semantics of fictional names inspired by Pavel Tichý's philosophy, using his concept of a role. The dissertation concludes that fictional names do not belong together with ordinary proper names. While supporters of the fictional worlds theory insist that fictional names are directly referring expressions, it is shown why it is difficult to defend such attitude both from a semantic and metaphysical perspective. It therefore suggests to treat fictional names instead as expressions that denote Tichý’s roles, which will allow us to solve various problems related both to fictional names and fictional semantics |9 eng |
