Řada historicko-společenských změn v tomto období se odráží i v novém pohledu na umělce a jeho tvorbu. Zvolená problematika je mj. zasazena do dobového hudebně estetického kontextu, zmiňují se však i pozdější ohlasy jednak v díle A. Schopenhauera a jednak v podobě polemiky Taddaye s Dahlhausem. Celkový obraz umělce v kontextu dobového vývoje doplňují zmínky o změnách v oblasti ekonomie a úvahy o diletantizmu. Těžištěm práce je prezentace vývoje autonomie umělce na vybraných literárních postavách hudebníků. Zvolená linie fiktivních biografií Andrease Hartknopfa (C. Ph. Moritz), Heinricha Wilhelma Guldena a Franze Hermenfrieda (J. F. Reichardt), Josepha Berglingera (Wackenroder/Tieck) a konečně Johanese Kreislera (E. T. A. Hoffman) se ukázala jako nosná v tom smyslu, že jednak jde zčásti o méně známá díla německé literatury a jednak tato volba umožnila prezentovat umělce usilující o autonomii v různých kontextech. Hartknopf chápe hudební umění jako zprostředkovatele umění životního, tento román je tedy oslavou lidství jako takového. V Reichardtově románu je ideální umělec chápán jako prospěšný „měšťák“, který si však dokáže uchovat relativně vysokou míru potřebné umělecké svobody. Romantické pojetí umění a umělce je charakterizováno převahou citovosti. Berglinger tak převádí hluboký náboženský prožitek na prožitek umělecký. Tvůrčímu umělci jsou tedy přisuzovány božské atributy, přičemž je schopen v rámci vlastního vnímání svobodně nakládat s uměním. Kreisler se na jedné straně dostává do konfrontace s přehnanou mírou vlastní inspirace a fantazie, na druhé straně se musí vypořádat s nivelizací uměleckého výrazu měšťáckou společností.  |% cze 
520 2 9 |a The present thesis deals with the topic of literary reflection on the autonomous position of an artist at the end of the 18th and the beginning of the19th century. A number of historical and social changes of this period were reflected in the new way of looking at the artist and his work. The chosen topic is established within the period musical and aesthetic context, later traces can be found not only in the work of A. Schopenhauer but also within the dispute between Tadday and Dahlhaus. The complete image of an artist in the context of the period development is amended with information on changes in the area of economy and considerations on dilettantism. The thesis focuses on the presentation of the development of an artist’s autonomy on the example of selected literary characters of musicians. The selected corpus of fictional biographies including those of Andreas Hartknopf (C. Ph. Moritz), Heinrich Wilhelm Gulden and Franz Hermenfried (J. F. Reichardt), Joseph Berglinger (Wackenroder/Tieck) and finally Johanes Kreisler (E. T. A. Hoffman) proved itself to be essential, as the texts included are not that well known within German literature. Moreover, the analysis made it possible to present the artists that are attempting autonomy in different contexts. According to Hartknopf, the musical art is the mediator of life art; therefore, this novel is a celebration of life as such. In Reichardt’s novel, an ideal artist is defined as a beneficial “bourgeois” who is able to keep a relative high level of the necessary artistic freedom. The Romantic conception of art and artist is characterized by the dominance of emotionality. Thus, Berlinger transforms a deep religious experience into an artistic one. A creative artist is assigned divine attributes, whereas within his own perception, he is able to deal freely with art.
