Jde o jednopřípadovou studii, která je zaměřena na výzkum dvou provázaných fenoménů: Zkoumána jsou politická témata, která se objevila ve veřejném diskursu České republiky před volbami do Poslanecké sněmovny Parlamentu ČR v roce 2006, a politický prostor, tedy rámec, do kterého jsou tato témata zasazována. Současně text věnuje pozornost analýze politického prostoru jako takového, zejména dimenzím, které představovaly hlavní politický konflikt v České republice v letech 2006 až 2008. V neposlední řadě se práce mapuje pozice, které v tomto prostoru zaujímají aktéři obou stran politického procesu (tedy voliči i politické strany, které v dané době disponovaly parlamentním zastoupením). 520 2 9 |a The dissertation thesis is based on the concept of cleavages, theories of rational choice and political marketing as well as spatial theory research. This one case study focuses on the research of two interlinked phenomenon: political issues, which appeared in the Czech public space prior to the 2006 general elections and policy space, where the issues were framed. In addition, the text analyzes the policy space and its dimensions, which represented the major political conflict in the Czech Republic between 2006 and 2008. Similarly, the crucial political actors (voters and the parties represented in the Parliament) and their positions are described. In general, the thesis aims to create a map depicting the Czech policy space and major cleavage issues in the period of 2006 to 2008.
