Podkladem pro vlastní práci byl vybraný soubor starořeckých textů klasického období. S pomocí výkladů uvedených v tradičních starořeckých gramatikách, vědeckých monografiích a statích jsem se pokusila o klasifikaci a podrobný popis jednotlivých prostředků vyjadřování této modality v klasické řečtině. Mimo jiné se ve své práci zaměřuji na stále živě diskutovaná témata, např. otázka funkce optativu zástupného po slovesech dicendi, otázka subjektivity spojovacího výrazu hós, atd |% cze | |
| 520 | 2 | 9 | |a The aim of this study is to characterize the ways of expressing the so-called epistemic modality in Classical Greek. This type of modality includes every language device by which the speaker signifies his attitude towards whether the statement he says is true or untrue. My thesis is based on Grepl´s (in particular 1973, 1979) and Palmer´s (1986) theory of the mood and modality in language. It represents a descriptive study of the epistemic modality in Classical Greek, especially in the texts of Attic authors of the Classical period. On the basis of close reading of excerpted original texts and using Greek dictionaries, grammars, specialized monographs and translations (Czech, English, German) I have concluded my results with a detailed classification scheme of the epistemic modal devices in Classical Greek |9 eng |
