This diploma paper has as it’s main theme authors resale rights. The primary objective of this is the rights of an author (visual artist) or another entitled person to receive a percentage of the revenue from the resale of their original works of art in the open market including auctions. The work describes historical and current legal regulations of droit de suite mainly in Czech Republic. Another part deals with the specifics of GESTOR, the society to collect royalties. The main part of the diploma paper analyzes the results of implementing droit de suite in real life and reccomendations to change the legal regulations. |
