Práce se zabývá popisem zkoumání většinových volebních systémů. Identifikuje hlavní výzkumná ohniska a ukazuje, že propojenost výzkumu se velmi liší podle jednotlivých subtypů většinových volebních systémů.

| Shrnutí: | Práce se zabývá popisem zkoumání většinových volebních systémů. Identifikuje hlavní výzkumná ohniska a ukazuje, že propojenost výzkumu se velmi liší podle jednotlivých subtypů většinových volebních systémů. The aim of this thesis is threefold. Its main aim is to explore the nature of the majoritarian electoral systems research within five different research traditions as outlined by Grofman (social choice, rational choice, mainstream empirical research, social physics and embedded systems analysis). Using inductive and abductive research strategy, we are going to demonstrate that research premises and outputs of such research are different within the five traditions. Particular electoral designs did not attract the same attention and the focal points of the research are as a rule distinct for the particular traditions. As a minor aims, the work hopes to establish -so far underdeveloped- study of majoritarian electoral systems within the context of Czech social sciences. Where the preconditions were favourable for such an action, it also proposes innovative research tools in the majoritarian systems research. |
