Těžiště práce spočívá v katalogové části, která formou katalogových hesel autorsky určených děl a biogramů jednotlivých protagonistů sochařství shrnuje tvorbu sochařů, působících na sledovaném území. Dosažené výsledky výzkumu barokního sochařství na tomto území, opřeného především o archivní, stylově-kritický přístup a formální rozbor sochařských děl, jsou shrnuty v úvodní studii, která se vedle nastínění dosavadního vývoje zkoumání tohoto tématu a historickým a stylovým proměnám sochařského vývoje na území Rakouského Slezska věnuje širším aspektům, zejména úloze barokní reprezentace a zasazení sochařských děl do kontextu tvořeného objednavatelem, tvůrcem a dobovým divákem. 520 2 9 |a The PhD thesis deals with the baroque sculpture in the territory, which the Austrian Silesia was created from in the years 1742-1782. The period time of investigation is from 1650 to around 1800, when the baroque style and epoch are coming to their end. The essential part of this thesis is focused on the catalogue raisonné, which summarizes the artworks of the sculptors working in this territory in the form of the catalogue items of the sculptural artworks of known authorship including biographical profiles. The outcomes of the research of the baroque sculpture in this territory, based on the archival findings and the formal stylistic analyses of the preserved sculptural artworks, are recapitulated in the introductory paper, that is concerned with the critical review of the literature on this topic and historical and formal stylistic development of the sculpture in the territory of the Austrian Silesia.
