| Shrnutí: | Práce vychází z oblasti kritické teorie a zaměřuje se na mediální reprezentaci českého zahraničního zpravodajství. V reprezentaci se snaží kriticky vymezit aspekty geografické imaginace vztažené ke vzdáleným oblastem světa. Jako klíčový koncept užívá imaginativní geografie Edwarda Saida a představuje je jako střed diskursivní formace, která tuto geografickou imaginaci ovlivňuje. Imaginativní geografie uvnitř mediální reprezentace různých oblastí mají potenciál reprodukovat jinakost těchto oblastí, avšak pro různé oblasti do různé míry a odlišným způsobem. V práci jsou definovány tři zásadní složky v imaginativních geografiích, které jsou poté využity pro kritickou interpretaci analýzy mediální reprezentace. Analýza je kvalitativní a převážně textuální, silně využívá dekonstrukce a obsahuje prvky kritické diskursivní analýzy. This thesis comes from the field of Critical theory and is directed on the media representation in Czech foreign news. Inside the representation it tries to critically determine aspects of geographical imagination concerned with far regions of the world. As a key concept it uses Edward Said‘s imaginative geographies and introduces them as a centre of discursive formation that influences this geographical imagination. Imaginative geographies in the media representation of diverse regions have a potential to reproduce Otherness of these regions, nonetheless for different regions to different extent and in a different way. In the thesis three essential components of imaginative geographies are defined and are later used for a critical interpretation of media representations analysis. The analysis is qualitative and mostly textual, it uses deconstruction heavily and it also contains elements of Critical Discourse Analysis. |
