Vychází z paradigmatu interpretativní sociologie (interpretative sociology) a využívá metod etnografického přístupu k genderu (West a Zimmerman 1987, česky 2008; Goffman 1989; Kessler and McKenna 1978). Teoreticky se opírá o genderové teorie publik tzv. ženských žánrů (Radway 1984, Modleski 2008, Ang 1985, Brunsdon 2003, Geraghty 2003) a o teorii sociální kritiky třídního vkusu v souvislosti s genderem (a social critique of the judgement of taste) (Bourdieu 2000). Výzkum proběhl v rozmezí let 2006 a 2011 a zaměřil se na divačky a diváky Ordinace v růžové zahradě ve městě Šumperk. | 520 | 2 | 9 | |a This dissertation deals with how the audience of the Czech soap opera “Ordinace v Ruzove zahrade” (Surgery in the Rose Garden) relates in a gendered way to the characters depicted, their personalities and agency in connection with their own perception and production of gender. It takes the paradigm of interpretative sociology for its starting point and uses the methods of ethnographic approach to gender (West and Zimmerman 1987, in Czech 2008; Goffman 1989; Kessler and McKenna 1978). Its theoretical background comprises of gender theories of audience of the “women’s genres” (Radway 1984, Modleski 2008, Ang 1985, Brunsdon 2003, Geraghty 2003) and a social critique of the judgment of taste (Bourdieu 2000). The research was conducted from 2006 to 2011 targeting the male and female viewers of Ordinace v ruzove zahrade in the city of Šumperk.
