Po shrnutí dosavadních výzkumů na poli komunální politiky v první části práce autor představuje šest výzkumných otázek, jejichž zodpovězení je cílem práce, a které jsou soustředěny do čtyř částí práce. Výzkumnými nástroji jsou statistická analýza volebních a statistických dat poskytnutých Českým statistickým úřadem jednak ve formě souhrnných přehledů, jednak uveřejněných na internetových stránkách ČSÚ, v publikaci S. Balíka Česká komunální politika v obcích s rozšířenou působností, z databáze členů rad měst a obcí, která je zřízena postupně doplňována daty Institutem pro srovnávací politologický výzkum Masarykovy univerzity, dále pak z internetových stránek obcí a měst a též z telefonních či osobních rozhovorů s představiteli lokální politiky či samosprávy.  |% cze

After summarization of the existing research in the field of municipal politics the author of the work puts forvard six research questions - and to answer these questions is the aim of the work. The work consists of four sections or parts altogether. The statistical analysis of the electoral and statistical data provided by the Czech Statistical Office - both in the form of summary overviews and data published on the Czech Statistical Office web pages - was the main instrument of the research.  |9 eng
