Cílem práce není dokládat na jednotlivých vybraných dílech inspiraci z konkrétních nizozemských děl, ale vystopovat odraz důležitých nizozemských invencí na dochovaných dílech českého pozdně středověkého fondu a pochopit cesty, kterými se do českého umění tyto invence mohly dostávat. Prací je tak rovněž podtržena role i dalších významných zejména středoevropských kulturních center. Zkoumání vybraných děl předchází trojice přehledových kapitol. První z nich rozebírá celoevropský význam umění Nizozemí v době vlády burgundských vévodů. V další jsou rozvedeny konkrétní i hypoteticky předpokládané přímé vztahy mezi Čechami a Nizozemím po polovině 15. století tak, aby bylo možno plynule přejít k obecnému zhodnocení role německy mluvících zemí při šíření nizozemských vlivů do českého umění ve druhé polovině 15. století. | 520 | 2 | 9 | |a The dissertation thesis “Prague and the Low Countries in the Second Half of the Fifteenth Century” explores the role of the Flemish art in the development of the Czech art of the second half of the fifteenth century. The goal of this thesis is not to demonstrate that selected Czech works were inspired by particular Flemish works but to trace up the reflection of important Flemish inventions in the extant works of the Czech late medieval fund and to understand how these inventions could come into the Czech art. The thesis also underlines the role of other important, especially Central European, cultural centers. Three overview chapters precede the search of the select art works. First of them analyses the all-European importance of the Flemish art in the period of the reign of the Dukes of Burgundy.
