The survey starts with Daniel Defoe’s novel The Fortunes and Misfortunes of the Famous Moll Flanders and is finished with Thomas Hardy’s book Tess of the D'Urbervilles: a Pure Woman Faithfully Presented. The first part of the work consists of ten short summaries of novels. The second section analyzes female protagonists from various points of views. These analyses are also founded on references to secondary sources, including internet and films, which are directly related to a literary work, the contemporary reality or writer’s personal experience. The conclusions sum up the results of analyses and confirm the hypotheses, formulated in the introduction. |9 eng |
