Shrnutí:This thesis will analyze the development policy of the EU to the African countries and will verify the hypothesis that development policy to this region is, in the long term, favorable - not only for the African countries but also for the EU and to get stable international relations. The hypothesis is that European development policy could bring sustainable development as economic or social-political growth, and by doing so, it could build precondition for reducing the gap between rich and poor and for making international relations more stable from the North-South dialogue point of view. This thesis will analyze the effectiveness of the EU´s development policy including trade and aid. Considering the normative nature of the concept ´development policy effectiveness´ this thesis will analyze how the outputs of EU´s development policy correspond to the EU´s official conventions.
