Pomocí kvalitativní metody strukturovaných hloubkových rozhovorů autorka zjišťuje, jaké postoje zaujímají romští novináři k vlastní profesní roli, jakým způsobem ji utvářejí a jakou roli hraje při konstrukci profesní identity jejich etnicita. Při popisu profesní role romských novinářů je v rámci této práce významným způsobem zohledňována jednak příslušnost respondentů k romské elitě, ale také fakt, že romská menšina je nahlížena většinovou společností jako homogenní celek charakterizovaný velice nízkým postavením v systému sociální stratifikace, a jako taková je majoritou stigmatizována. Autorka tedy při popisu profesní identity romského novináře vychází z konfliktu jeho dvou rolí - role nositele stigmatu nízkého sociálního postavení na jedné straně a na straně druhé role žurnalisty jako příslušníka profesní skupiny, jejíž prestiž a moc je v rámci majoritní společnosti značně vysoká. |% cze | |

Through applying a method of in-depth interview, the authoress investigates the Romany journalists’ stand to their professional role and, furthermore, the way the Romany journalists construct this role and what is the position of the ethnicity in this process of role-construction. In the description on the Romany journalists’ professional role, the thesis significantly notes to the fact that the respondents belong to elite of Romany minority, as well as to the fact that Romany minority is by the majority perceived and stigmatized as homogenous collectivity characterized by a very low position in the system of social stratification. Therefore, the authoress bases her description of the Romany journalist’s professional identity on the conflict of his / her two roles, where the first role is characterized by the stigma of the low social position, and the second role. |9 eng |
