| Shrnutí: | Cílem práce je použít teoretické vymezení mezinárodních režimů pro popis vztahu mezi Spojenými státy a Sovětským svazem (později Ruskou federací) na poli protibalistické obrany. Práce se člení do tří tématických celků.První přibližuje teorii mezinárodních vztahů popisující mezinárodní režimy jakožto fenomén objasňující mezinárodní kooperaci v anarchickém prostředí a snaží se aplikovat definici mezinárodního režimu na spolupráci vzniklou na základě podpisu Smlouvy ABM, a tím určit, zda lze tento vztah popsat jako režimní. Druhý se pokouší popsat vývoj americko-sovětských (ruských) vztahů v oblasti protiraketové obrany v pojmech teorie mezinárodních režimů. Cílem třetí části je popsat příčiny unilaterálního vypovězení režimu ze strany USA a ohodnotit, zda tyto byly dostatečné pro jeho opuštění a zda zničení režimu bude přínosem pro světovou bezpečnost či nikoli. The aim of this work is to apply the theory of international regimes to the relation between the USA and the USSR (later the Russian Federation) on the field of the ballistic missile defence. The work is divided into three parts. First of them introduces the theory of international regimes, an international relations theory, which explains the phenomena of international cooperation in anarchic enviroment, and tries to apply the definition of international regime to the cooperation between the superpowers based on the ABM Treaty and thus determine if the relations could be considered as an international regime. The second part tries to describe the evolution of American-Soviet (Russian) relations on the field of the ballistic missile defence with tools of the theory of international regimes. The third part is aimed to depict the causes of unilateral regime-abandoning by the United States and to assess if these were sufficient enough to abandon the regime and if the destruction of the re. |
