This paper deals with the institucion of ombudsman not only from the general point of view but also with the emphasis on its enactment in the Czech Republic as established by Act No.349/1999 Coll. on the Public Defender of Rights. Following the introduction dealing with some general thoughts about the government and a citizen presented by the Dutch Public Defender of Rights Marten Oosting, the author presents an extensive chapter where she guotes several definitions by foreign and Czech authors dealin with this topic. |
