Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na výzkum a jeho výsledky ve všech výše uvedených oblastech, který je komplikován nejednotným vymezením pojmů styl učení a kognitivní styl. Z různých obecných modelů stylů učení poskytuje poměrně plastický a relevantní pohled na učení vysokoškoláků a na faktory důležité pro rozvoj celoživotního učení model J. D. Vermunta využívající výzkumný nástroj Inventory of Learning Styles (ILS). Práce tohoto výzkumníka popisují vývoj stylů učení u univerzitních studentů, které se mění v nižších ročnících vysokoškolského studia. | 520 | 2 | 9 | |a The doctoral thesis unites three views on the studied problems from the following perspectives: learning styles in general, learning styles of English learners and learning styles in the internet learning environment. This bird eye view distinguishes this thesis from those concentrating just on individual levels of the three above mentioned problems. Theoretically oriented part of the thesis focuses on the research and its findings in the above mentioned fields concerning learning styles. The terms learning styles and cognitive styles have not been defined unambiguously up to now. Among various learning styles models the Vermunt s model provides relevant and detailed view on learning in higher education with the respect to life-long education. Vermunt has developed a research tool called Inventory of Learning Styles (ILS).
